We are a group of specialist doctors in gastroenterology

Liver and pancreatic problems and specialist Endoscopy Nurses who have formed a charitable organisation named Gastroenterology Training Academy. The organisation is registered with UK Charity Commission. We are UK citizens and are currently working in Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board in Swansea. The Health Board is a paired institutional partner in our project through the Chairman of our Health Board. Our aim is to improve training and support quality improvement in endoscopy services in Bangladesh. We formed this charity with initial funding from British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG). We make yearly visits to Bangladesh during the annual meeting of Bangladesh Gastroenterology Society to run Hands-On training courses for trainee Gastroenterologists, Training the Trainer Courses for the Endoscopy Trainers in Bangladesh.
